Poudre Extreme: Whitewater Rafting in Colorado
HALF DAY – Extreme Whitewater Rafting!
Class: II, III, IV
Take the Plunge in the most adventurous raft in the fleet!
Get ready to get wet as you and up to two friends can run the Cache La Poudre River like never before; charging rapids and punching holes in this small, maneuverable raft developed by Hyside. This river adventure is not for the faint of heart, and only paddle crews who are “dialed in” will tame the river in this little beast.
This trip runs the same section of river as our Poudre Plunge trip. 2 1/2 to 3 hours of time on the water. Meeting times are 8:00 am and 12:15 pm. The minimum age for this trip is 13 years old.
Cost: $415.00 (up to 3 people)

“We paddled the mini-raft for the first time on the extreme trip. Had a blast! Our guide was Joe – who was awesome. The mini-raft is not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re there for an extra-adventurous outing – look into it!” –CO2trvlrs, Fort Collins

“Since the Extreme is a smaller boat there is a good chance you are going swimming and we did twice, once while surfing and the other on Pine View the largest rapid. Both times we were brought back in the boat without any problems, just a little wet. Casey did a great job as our guide and kept us safe while having a great time!!!” –Tom W, Fort Collins

“We went back this Aug 2016 with family in a large raft and had a great time. We booked a extreme trip with our guide Aaron Jones to two days later. Small raft just he, my wife, & me. We had a blast. Great guide, fun river, & perfect experience.” –Keith S, Lake Charles
Extreme Rapids
Three Rock
Class: IV

About a mile and a half into this run is you first Class IV rapid. Two huge side by side boulders choke the channel resulting in a very interesting rapid. At higher flows, a fun run is right down the middle or you can zig zag through the left side. Either way, get ready to paddle!s
Crystal Wall

Class: IV

A long continuous rapid containing several holes begins as the river bends to the right following Ginsu Corner. At the end of this rapid the river flows directly into a rock wall which rafts usually back away from to the right. The Baldwin Tunnel on Hwy 14 also marks the end of this rapid.

Pine View Falls is the crux rapid on this run, providing a classic Colorado Class IV experience. The rapid is fun at every river level, so be ready to paddle hard and scream with delight. We love this rapid so much, we will run it on every trip we have to offer.
roller coaster

Class: III

This large wave train gives boaters the up and down
feeling of riding a roller coaster. Always a favorite, this rapid
is one of the last on this run.
